Alta Roma Fashion week invites Designer Pria Kataria Puri
Mumbai, 29 June 2007: Alta Roma, one of Italy's most prestigious fashion weeks invites Pria Kataria Puri. To be held in Rome, 9 th July 2007, Pria Kataria will show case an extension of the collection 'Turkish Delight' the fall winter collection which she also show cased at the Lakme Fashion Week 2007. The collection inspired by Istanbul, primarily the Topkai Sarai palace in Istanbul stresses on prints. As always all the outfits have her trademark stamp of unabashed glamour!
The designer hosted a media preview of her collection here today at Olive bar and Kitchen. Her model friends such as ex miss india shruti sharma, southern siren jasmin dawda, the orginal oomph girl viveka babajee, socialite kahkashan patel etc turned up for the preview in her outfits which will be showcased at the Alta Roma Fashion Week.
Alta Roma was formed in 1998 to promote the image of Rome on the international fashion circuit. Its institutional partners are the Chamber of Commerce, the Municipality of Rome and the Regione Lazio. Alta Roma epitomizes fashion, whether it is a question of new trends or undying legends, thus giving designers a unique opportunity to express themselves through the creation of magnificent masterpieces. It is a perfect platform for Pria Kataria Puri, one of the original proponents of Indian 'nouvelle couture' a perfect platform for Pria Kataria Puri.
Pria's clothes have draped divas across Europe, India, the Middle East and America, with the Alta Roma Fashion Week one can expect some new international buzz for her.
Pria is delighted and honored with the invitation. " I am excited about participating at a new fashion week and curious about the response my clothes with generate. I have been selling in Europe for a few years now, but it's my first time participating in a European fashion week. I do hope I can dazzle then with my occidental couture. I would also like to thank Lakme Fashion week for this opportunity and it was after showcasing my collection at LFW that I got this invite" says Pria Kataria Puri.
Pria Kataria Puri's creations are available at Aza and Kimaya in Bombay. Pria runs her fashion business across, Delhi, Mumbai and the Middle East and has recently launched her store "Sosha" in Kuwait.
