3rd October 08: Pria Kataria Puri’s couture has always been a perfect paean to an individual expression and therefore she has always won hearts of all in and outside of fashion! Last evening saw her back from California, where she represented India for a charity, again stepping up to embody traditional Indian wear in a pleasantly different light to represent India for the German bank Norddeutsche at the Taj Mahal hotel on 3rd October 08.
I was requested by MR DILIP UMRALKAR and MR DR Hanses Rehm chairman of the board of Nordduetsche bank to depict India with a traditional and modern theme as highlight of the occasion. I carefully selected the outfits from all around India and added a modern touch to them", says Pria Kataria puri.

Ms. Pria Kataria Puri, selected beautiful and traditional saris from different parts of India to characterize the diversity and beauty in Indian culture throughout the ages in a modern twist. She styled the saris in unique styles of her own and produced inimitable combinations, representing different states & cities of India such as

Banaras-golden pink brocades and tissue sari blouse teamed with antique jarau and pearl jewels

Delhi-off-white silk sari embellished in 18 carat gold embroidery teamed with white gold uncut diamond jewels.

This season’s B&B Design exhibition proudly presents the results of its anew cooperation with the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts: “The denim skirt; novel interpretations of a contemporary classic” showcases the works of selected first-year students. Vernissage CREATIVE R’EVOLUTION – 50 Years of Fluxus from the Archivio Bonotto
The extraordinary art exhibition presents more than 150 Fluxus objects from the Archivio Bonotto, among them major works of this revolutionary art movement. Renowned High Fashion weaver Luigi Bonotto personally curated the exhibition, and Fluxus artist Ben Vautier created an exclusive installation for BBBarcelona. The vernissage will be opened by Karl-Heinz Müller and Luigi Bonotto, and features life performances by Ben Vautier, Ben Patterson and Philip Corner.

On Monday, 26th of January 2009, the seventh Fashion Week by Berns will open. As Swedish fashion continues to garner global acclaim, Berns Salonger is honoured to welcome Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine to inaugurate the week. The Royal Protectorship started last season and lasts through 2012.
"Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine’s keen interest in nurturing Swedish culture and the arts has led her to Fashion Week by Berns. We are extremely gracious for the support of the Princess and appreciate her ambassadorship, which we know will directly highlight emerging Swedish designers at home and abroad", says Yvonne Sörensen Björud, Managing Director of Berns Salonger.

The collections are sure to invoke and inspire as Berns features the first Danish design houses of Islaet, Bertoni and Wood Wood and welcomes back Acne, Carin Wester, Cheap Monday, Diana Orving, Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair, Hope, Ida Sjöstedt, Minimarket. The Local Firm, Tiger of Sweden, Whyred and the Max Factor Award Show. Newcomers to Berns include J.Lindeberg, Rodebjer,,Mercedes-Benz Young Fashion Industry Award Winner Nhu Duong, Säby and Sofifi.
The new partnership with +46 will bring Anna-Sara Dåvik, Julian Red, Rickard Lindqvist and the Copenhagen design collective Wood Wood to Fashion Week by Berns for the first time. Furthermore, students from Beckmans College of Design will show their own unique collections focusing on knitting and knitwear.
Max Factor and Mercedes-Benz return to further support the program with exciting developments. Mercedes will unveil a large, tented show space in nearby Kungsträdgården. The third of its kind in the world, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Pavillion will feature runway shows and special events beginning 23d January. In addition, the Blue Room by Telenor will open at Berns to host candid interviews, between key journalists and the industry, broadcast live all week throughout Stockholm City.
"A schedule that features presentations ranging from Acne and J.Lindeberg to the +46 showcase is very promising. This season we are presenting international stars alongside strong newcomers.
