Flowing Sculpture

The new Haute Couture collection by ABED MAHFOUZ reflects the image of a courageous woman living ahead of her time and who is seeking to challenge all traditional beauty standards. Thus, designer ABED MAHFOUZ created a futuristic trend inspired by what is known as “Experimental Architecture”.

ABED MAHFOUZ cherishes this artistic school and uses its relevant architectural concept in order to draw a contemporary woman. He goes even further within his imagination by manipulating the foundations of Perspective.

For this Fall/Winter 2010-2011season, ABED MAHFOUZ presents a ultra-creative collection through the use of modular forms and layering techniques; his dresses suggest charming sculptural shapes with three dimensional geometrical lines.

Furthermore, the designer confirms his concept through a scientific precision showing a perfect match between the embroidery and the fabric choice. Hence, embroideries of semi-precious stones, point out crystal works and twisted tubular shapes. These sparkling effects are set on exquisite fabrics such as crepe, mousseline, dentelle, organza and some beaded fabrics in harmony with.

On the other hand, the colors of this collection indicate an antic effect in contrast with the modern geometrical shapes; these colors include the antic gold, sage green, aqua winter sky, chinchilla beige and the imperial red along with its derivatives.

Once again, Abed Mahfouz expands his quest towards women’s independence and reveals his continuous challenge of a new fashion trend.
