Celebrate ‘True Spirit of Manhood’ – the Grasim Way!


Intense Grooming sessions (March 20th - 28th March 2007 ,Mumbai, March 2007:
That time of the year arrived, when sleek toned bods and chiseled jaw lines, sashay across the ramp with a suave, sophisticated disposition, as 28 aspiring - yet palpably nervous male models got ready to offer the audiences a visual treat at the 13th Grasim Mr. India 2007 pageant. After receiving an unprecedented 16000 applications, the special panel of high profile judges shorlisted 28 finalists after carefully scrutinizing the ‘Potential Laden’ participants. The contestants were selected from various zones of India i.e. North, South, East and West. While Delhi and Mumbai rule the roost with 7 finalists, Haryana and Noida have 3 promising aspirants. Pune and Bangalore run in closely with 2 participants while Punjab, Rajasthan, Kolkata and Patna made themselves tough to boot with 1 finalist each. The selected contestants arrived in Mumbai on the 19th of March for an INTENSE GROOMING SESSION.

The sessions commenced from the March 20, 2007, helped them build on their confidence levels and the ability to present them effectively on the ramp. Not only did the sessions worked on their externals, but also on the other aspects of presentation such as etiquettes, and the style of presenting themselves on stage i.e. bodacious yet earnest in their appeal.

While the seasoned Trainer Ms. Leena Mogre helped carve the six packs, the dance sessions with Mr. Sandip Soparkar added icing to the cake, tackling stiffness problems and enable body movements whilst on stage. Specialists present will take care of etiquettes as well as skin and hair related issues. The grooming sessions will be a finale to the various sub contests such as

Best Dressed and the Best Talent.

This High profile contest was held on the 31st of March at the Chitrakoot Ground, Shah Industrial Estate (Behind Fun Republic).

Best Physique, Best Smile, Best Talent, Most Photogenic Male model declared, Mumbai, 26th March 2007:

27 breathtakingly handsome men walked the walk, talked the talk and smiled the smile to give their best shot at the sub-contests of Best Dressed male, Best Talent, Best Physique, Best Smile, and Most Photogenic 2007. The sub contests were held at the Resort at Aksa beach on the 26th and 27th of March 2007 respectively.

Judges: Fitness expert Mickey Mehta, Ex Grasim Mr. India 2007 Karan Hukkoo, Film Director Kalpana Lazmi, well-known photographer Jagdish Mali, Famous theatre personality Kunal Vijaykar and Model & aspiring actress Suhaana presided as the judges over the event.While the Best Talent and Best Dressed Male commenced on the 26th of March, the very important Mr. Photogenic, Best Physique, Best Smile took place on the 27th of March 2007.

A gamut of emotions and challenges as 27 breathtakingly handsome men battle it out at the grand finale, for the title of Grasim Mr. India 2007, to be held on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Chitrakoot Grounds, Andheri West. The competition is tough….wait and watch who wins this prestigious title of ‘Grasim Mr. India 2007’.
