INVISTA ‘xfit lycra® fabric’ and ‘black lycra® fiber’ Brands Are showcased at Lycra® rendezvous ‘07
Leading designers Jattinn Kocchar, Deepika Govind and prominent international and domestic apparel brands
NEW DELHI, 7 JUNE, 2007: LYCRA® Rendezvous, the international LYCRA® brand that has emerged as the vital source for both trends and innovations for the fashion fraternity worldwide, today showcased latest fabric offerings defining fashion for the apparel industry, along with fashion presentations from leading designers, apparel brands and design houses at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi. The event featured participation from leading textiles mills from India and Europe, international experts from INVISTA, retail brands as well as prominent designers.
The event saw brands by INVISTA including XFIT LYCRA® fabric and BLACK LYCRA® fiber, which intend to revolutionise fashion outlook for denim and intimate apparel market. Martin Szeto, Asia Pacific export marketing director, INVISTA Apparel, offered insights into XFIT LYCRA ® fabric, the latest in denim innovation from the LYCRA ® brand, which is a patented cross-weave technology that allows 360 degrees movement. It also offers excellent fabric stability and great shape retention with great recovery. All these allow the wearer to move in every way that they do.
"We expect the XFIT LYCRA® brand to change the landscape of denim with its next generation look and feel. It provides a wider fit to accommodate more diverse body types, giving the wearer a flattering alluring shape," said Martin Szeto. INVISTA also showcased BLACK LYCRA® fiber, a path breaking product for Intimate Apparel segment, for elegant and natural looking black and dark fabrics that help resist fading with washing. It represents a real breakthrough for lingerie and underwear designers. Black LYCRA fiber stays black, even after repeated wash cycles, thanks to its spun-dyed technology. It also reduces the ‘grin through shiny effect’ in dark fabric shades; a phenomenon which often jeopardises the evenness and intensity of colour.
The event also showcased LYCRA® fiber collections for leading international and domestic brands including Pepe Jeans, Park Avenue, Lee Cooper, Adidas, Reebok and Westwood Jeans.
LYCRA® Rendezvous also saw leading designers Deepika Govind and Jattinn Kocchar, unleash the magic of LYCRA® fiber on the ramp through a vibrant and colourful presentation of their LYCRA® fiber based creations.
LYCRA® Rendezvous featured an array of fabric innovations exhibited by leading mills from India and Italy that included, Arvind Mills Ltd.(Denim & Bottoms), Arvind Mills Ltd. (Knits & Shirtings), Birla VXL, Carvico Spa Italy, Balavigna Weaving Mills Pvt. Ltd., Banswara Syntex, Euro Jersey, K.G.Denim Ltd, Raymond UCO Denim, Vardhman Spinning, Pratibha Syntex and Bonjour International.
The event saw extensive participation from the entire fashion value chain including export and buying houses, sourcing and merchandising professionals, designers, apparel brands across categories and trade and consumer media amongst others.
